UP’s single window portal for industries wins CSI excellence award

‘Nivesh Mitra’, the single window portal of Uttar Pradesh for issuing clearances to industries and enterprises has been given Award of Excellence by the Computer Society of India (CSI), a non-profit society of computer professionals from across India.

The award has been given under project category for excellent online interface provided to investors and industrialists for setting up and running their units and enterprises in the State.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath gave away the award in a ceremony organised on 18th CSI Special Interest Group eGovernance Awards 2020.

Underlining the importance of NiveshMitra as an important tool of ease of doing business, Additional Chief Secretary Infrastructure & Industrial Development Arvind Kumar informed that 3,27,502 applications have been filed on the single window portal till today since the launch of NiveshMitra in February 2018, while around 83 percent i.e. 2,77,335 clearances, including NoCs and licences have been issued so far with 95 percent disposal rate. The grievance redressal system of NiveshMitra has received 25,084 grievances as on date, of which 99 percent i.e. 24,836 have been successfully resolved.

CEO of Invest UP Neena Sharma informed that around 130 services had been integrated with NiveshMitra during the last two years and 50 more services were in pipeline to be added to the single window system. Invest UP, the investment promotion and facilitation agency of the State government, is the nodal agency for single window portal. NiveshMitra was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the UP Investors’ Summit in February 2018 with 69 services. At present, end-to-end computerisation has been done of 27 departments that provide over 200 services to businesses through NiveshMitra.
